Incompetency of Government
- Pakistan’s government is heavily in debt of billions of dollars while trying to fight against the Taliban and other Islamic militant groups. As the government cannot fight against the Taliban, the Taliban currently rules over Pakistan and introduces laws on the basis of an extreme version of Islamic laws.
- The Taliban does not acknowledge Pakistan’s government, leaving no middle ground for negotiation. It wants to set up a system of extreme Sharia law, with Mullah Fazlullah as the leader of Pakistan.
- On the other hand, the government is too weak and is on the verge of being overthrown by the Taliban. Hence, they are unable to prevent the Taliban from destroying girls’ schools in Pakistan.
