Lack of Education
- Education is deemed as a top priority for boys because the people believe that in the future, the boys will need the education to work in the society. Education is not a top priority for the females because of the belief that females must excel in domestic areas, be dutiful wives and bear children. As the women are uneducated, they do not know that their beliefs and traditions are interpreted incorrectly.
- In terms of human development, Pakistan is ranked 145th in the world and its literacy rate is 30%. Education improves women’s ability to establish social relationships and helps them to earn more respect from others. Education can also allow women to participate in politics so they can ensure that their voices and concerns are heard and addressed in the public policy.
